After the May general meeting NiYa will be demonstrating how to turn your scraps into landscapes ( beaches, mountains, rivers or hillsides) using the decorative stitches on your machine, double sided fusible web and everyday objects as templates. Please respond by May 2.
Please help us plan supplies that the guild will provide by signing up here.
Please bring with you the following items:
a sandwich to quart size bag of light, medium, and dark scraps in neutrals, blues, orange, purple reds, pink, and/or greens (smallest width for scraps is 2 inches shortest length you want is 4 inches) Fabric will be used for mountains, beaches, islands and other land/water features so you do not want anything with large prints. Tiny prints and tone on tones are perfect
an 8x4 inch piece of either sky, or sand colored fabric
a 9x12 inch piece of muslin or white fabric for the background (you will be covering this in varying stages so you don't want a print for this as it might show through your other fabrics)
scissors (you will be cutting through the backing paper of the fusible web and your fabric)
pencil or ball point pen
