Guild Name Badge Workshop

Come learn how to make your Uhuru name badge. This workshop will occur during the Monday night Sew Happy Hour. Please join the 2026 Sew Happy Link.

Make sure you gather all supplies in advance, since we will put together the name badge during the workshop.

Fabrics: 100% cotton for the block: red, black, green, and gold (scraps of any print/solids and size)

Borders: light colored or muslin cut 2 - 4x2 and cut 2 – 6x2 strips

Batting and backing – cut a 10-inch square for both batting and backing

Binding 

Guild name badge FPP templates* – print a set of 4 templates. You have a choice of 1.5 inch for a 3-inch finished, 2-inch for a 4-inch finished, or 2.5-inch for a 5-inch finish block.

Fabric marker/pen, embroidery floss, or machine embroidery any color (optional)

General sewing supplies: sewing machine, thread, scissors, pins, rotary cutter, mat, ruler, and a glue stick

*To access the FPP templates, please click the link on the calendar. Be sure to print a set of 4 templates for the finished size of your choice. There are 3 size options, but you only need to choose 1 size and make 4 copies for the workshop.
