Handwork 2026 Exhibit
Check your stash, check your pile, look in closets and under the bed! The call for African art inspired quilts is open! Quilts will be displayed from June-December 2026 at the James E. Lewis Museum of Art (JELMA), Morgan State University. The exhibit will be curated by Schroeder Cherry, Ed.D., JELMA Curator
Entries are due by March 17, 2026

1 Full image of quilt must include edges of quilt
1 detail image of quilt (3 maximum detail images may be included)
You may submit up to 3 quilts
Preferred size: 40” maximum width and 40” maximum length. A larger quilt may be considered.
